Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our print production facility. This includes overseeing staff, optimizing production schedules, ensuring quality control, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage print production workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Supervise and support production staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks
- Monitor inventory of materials and order supplies as needed
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Analyze production data and generate performance reports for upper management
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a print production or manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of printing processes (e.g., offset, digital, large format) and finishing operations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in production management, graphic arts, or related field preferred
